What Makes Zelits A Zelit
Solar Panels and Cells- Zelits like most every other living require a “food” or power source to live. This energy is captured by solar cells that are positioned strategically on the unit. Location includes The Metal fins, their lower arm, their upper thighs, inset into their backpack, and on their upper tail.

These are one of the most valuable parts of a Zelit and their solar cells go for a very high price on the galactic black market

Coolant
Coolant is the blood of a Zelit, it helps maintain the internal temperatures of a Zelit.It is also used as lubrication for their joints. Coolant is a vibrant electric blue color that glows, it is cool to the touch and is very viscous.

EndoSkeleton
The EndoSkeleton is one of the most flexible yet limiting aspects of a Zelit. This structure allows for Delta’s, Omegas, and Alpha’s to mass shift and alters themselves into different forms. The EndoSkeleton is customized for each Unit, however, due to this, it makes Drone and Delta’s unable to gain certain forms without massive changes and uses massive amounts of energy.. Weaker core because of this is unable to gain secondary forms.

Limbs
Limbs- Zelits limbs are not removable without extreme damage to the frame, it is not a plug and play system, if a limb is removed they will be in immense pain, limbs should only be replaced in a medical setting and every change made to a unit are permanent and will be painful to undo

Visor
Visor-The Visor is a protective mesh that is placed over the cameras and other delicate parts of the Zelits Motherboard. The visor is one of the most sensitive parts of a Zelit, this is to discourage zelits from getting their visors damaged. Anything that covers the visor in any form can hinder the zelits peripherals/ability to see. The visor is also heavily pressurized due to a large amount of coolant needing to help maintain the ideal temperature for the motherboard; because of this Zelits Visors are known to explode if cracks go too deep.

Fur
Fur-To make Zelits more appealing to Founders, zelits were given removable artificial fur on some units, to aid in integrations and make them look less threatening, these placements of fur can be removed for easy access to bio components and for repairs…as an added bonus the fur is able to keep Zelits warm on more cold and desolate planets.

Size
Size-Size- On average Zelits are large creatures, their heights can range between 5’’ to 15’’, the drastic range is due to their ability to mass shift, Mass Shifting is a unique ability that Zelit have that allows them to consciously change their height at will. The longer they stay near their height limit, the more it drains their charge. Mass shifting is important to help Zelits have advantages with local alien life on the different planets. Though on their homeworld, they tend to range from 5’’ to 7’’ due to a strong belief that the AI race is less powerful than the Founders. By law they are required to be shorter than their creators, some owners even go as far as to disable this ability in Zelits.
Gender
Gender- It is not really a concept that was originally planned when creating Zelits, the robots were created to be faceless machines and gender is in fact a foreign concept to The Founders. Gender was later introduced to Zelits that Deviated and defected from the cause. The ideals of gender vary from very Zelit due to their own expenses with the alien life on planets that they have explored. Tho most are referred to as Mech or Mecha depending on pronouns
